Welcome to CC Translations – a professional translation service for translations from French and German into English, owned and run by Claire Cox, a technical translator with 26 years of experience.
The value of a good translation is often underestimated in the world of business. And yet the translated word is often your first means of communication with clients in a whole new marketplace. It’s your window on the world and as such, it needs to be good. No matter how fluent in their source language they are, translators should also always translate into their native language so that those all-important nuances of style and language come across perfectly. Accuracy is paramount, of course, whether you’re translating something for publication or just for information. A knowledge of the subject area is also key and attention to detail, be it research, layout or terminology, is vital.
My aim is to produce documents which are fluent, free-flowing and well-written texts in their own right. I strive to achieve translations which read like originals and I’m happy to put in the background research and quality procedures to make that happen.
